The AOEC program is located in the AOEC/Stephens' Center at 1020 Glen Rock with the entrance off of Jackson. AOEC is self-paced, computer-assisted, and student centered. There are two different class sessions for Middle and High School students - split into AM and PM classes. The program was developed for students who have difficulty fitting in the regular school environment due to disruptive life issues and family responsibilities. Students are admitted through an intake interview and review of their prior academic work. Students must be reading at the 8th grade level to be admitted and have no serious discipline record. The Pickus Infant and Toddler Center, a child care facility run by Kids Hope United, is on site and available to the children of AOEC students who are under three years of age. For further information regarding the AOEC program contact either Grant Flink, Director, or Chris Dreyer, Assistant Director, at (847) 360-5540. |
