John S. Clark Elementary School has a population that is very culturally diverse. The district ESL Program, English as a Second Language, is housed at Clark School. At the present time, there are 14 different languages spoken. These students receive ESL services from two full-time ESL teachers.
Our building contains two classes at each grade level, including one bilingual kindergarten class. For the most part, grade level classrooms are in close proximity to each other. This allows for collaboration between teachers and students. The facility also includes a library/computer lab and spacious gym.
Our school has one principal, one assistant principal, one full-time secretary, one part-time secretary, and one daytime custodian. The full time support staff consists of one Title 1 teacher, and one Specific Learning Disabilities teacher. The part-time support staff consists of one intervention teacher, two music teachers, one physical education teacher, one art teacher, one social worker, one psychologist, one nurse, one speech and language pathologist, and various specialists who work with special needs students
as determined by IEPs.
