The purpose of the Waukegan Public Schools Foundation is to develop resources to enrich District curricular programs, provide updated technology, enhance staff effectiveness though innovative grants and supplement student needs in order to assist students to achieve their individual potential.
The Waukegan Schools Foundation was established in 1986, consisting of five members. Today, the Foundation Board consists of a dozen community members from all corners of the business and educational community, dedicated to developing resources to help students in the Waukegan Public Schools achieve their highest potential. In the past 25 years the Foundation Board has raised more than $1.25 million to support their goals.
The Foundation is a tax-exempt vehicle for people and corporations who want to make financial contributions to District 60. Memorial gifts and scholarships are also a way of contributing.
