DANIEL WEBSTER MIDDLE SCHOOL’S SUMMER READING PROGRAM

Daniel Webster Middle School is a reading school!

Directions:

  1. Read the book for whatever grade you will be entering in Fall, 2011. Get the book list here for each grade level.
  2. Download the project of your choice:  Book Report or Book Folder.
  3. Complete the project for the book you read.
  4. Bring your completed project to your communications teacher on the second day of class in the fall.  You will get points from your communications teacher and a certificate from the Fall Book Fair.  It is a good way to start the new school year.
  5. Get a list of more books to read on the Rebecca Caudill 2012 List.

Incoming 6th grade students: The Revealers by Wilhelm (book about middle school)

Incoming 7th grade students: Fever 1793 by Anderson (flu epidemic)

Incoming 8th grade students: Someone Named Eva by Wolf  (WWII)

8th grade students going to 9th grade: We Beat the Street by Davis,  et. al.

Optional for Eager Readers:  Any book from the Rebecca Caudill 2012 List
