DWMS Building Leadership Team (BLT)

A building leadership team is a school-based group of school professionals involved in school improvement. For Daniel Webster Middle School and many other schools in Waukegan and in the State of Illinois, a building leadership team (BLT) is crucial to the school's school improvement and restructuring plan under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.

The National Institute for Urban School Improvement provides a great description of the type of building leadership team we strive to be in a publication called The Building Leadership Team.
